The Two (3) Reasons

I was thinking for while, how I actually get to watching certain Animes. I find a lot of the time that people are stumped on what to watch next. I didn't even realize being stumped was an option, I've got a list out the Wazoo. Though I suppose that may be a reason why people read reviews...
Nonetheless, I decided to create a post telling you how I find my Animes, and what the biggest reasons for me to consider them are. And really, they're quite simple.

(I don't normal look first at either of these two reasons, it's just whatever catches my eye first)

1st
Art-style
(how anti-climatic, there was no build up whatsoever!)
But seriously, one of my main reasons for watching anime is the art-style. I mean, if I wanted to watch crappy drawn figures moving around I'd watch Cartoon Network (that wasn't very nice).
My preference is actually Moe. What can I say? I'm a sucker for cute things.

Oh episode 3, you make me laugh

This anime was a bad idea...

Don't look directly at the eyes!

Moving along.

This time I'll build up more suspense. Scroll DOWN!!!

That's enough suspense.

Genres

Can I get a "Well duh?" Though it seems it's not that obvious...
When I'm looking for an Anime, I look for two key genres; Comedy and Slice of Life.
Though at times I may be in a mood for something else, it's almost always these two. When you see comedy in the genres though, that doesn't make the series a comedy, since it can be a sub-genre just thrown in there. So when looking for a Comedy, usually it can only be paired with one or two other genres such as Slice of Life or whatever, before it would be considered a sub-genre (Note: There are exceptions).

This would be an interesting cross-over of comedies...

Don't judge an anime half way through...

This needs no caption

The eyes god dammit the eyes!

Well yup, that's it, there's definitely no more, you can go home now. I hope you enjoyed this post! Good-bye! Thanks for reading!

(3)
Why the hell is there a third?
Oh yea, well there is one last contributing factor that points us in a direction of considering an anime, and this so happens to be...

Popularity
Now this is a third, and not really to be considered a reason to watch an anime, because well, everyone has their own opinions. The more popular an anime, doesn't necessarily mean it's good. There's loads of popular series that I personally can't stand, but hey, sometimes it's a good idea to check it out to see what all the fuss is about.

Like a Boss

Lucky Star again? Well it can't be helped, it's a popular comedy

And lastly

OH GOD I LOOKED!

But honestly, Azumanga Daioh does fit in all of these categories.

Anyway, I'll be sure to post more about winning Animes (and a mix of the unfortunate "Heads up, this Anime sucks!").  Thanks for reading!

ストライクウィッチーズ Forever

So we draw nearer and nearer to the release of the Strike Witches movie (and I'm pushed farther and farther into a lot of busy school tasks). But I won't let that get in the way for some posts to get us ready for the arrival of the movie. It will be shown theatrically in Japan on March 17th. I'm not quite sure when it will get around for us to view with subtitles though.

Let's begin shall we

Listen to this song while enjoy the pictures :)

Fan art from someone who I personally think has a lot of talent.

Classic Strike Witches. These pictures are part of the manga Strike Witches was ... half based off on. The story line changed a LOT from manga to series. Though most of the characters appeared in the series.

These are some pictures that came a long with the music CD.

Not quite sure where I found this one.

Here are some pictures that were in the original Strike Witches that helped create the characters we know in Strike Witches today.

Here's a page of the original Strike Witches manga, which was cancelled after Chapter 3

And lastly a picture I decided would be fun (and time consuming) to make.

The only word better than amazing, is the title to this movie.

Due to unforeseen awesomeness (that is a mega understatement).
Due to the fact that the amount of win is immeasurable
Because this movie, not only brings puppies back to life, but also cures cancer, to give it a serious rating would be an absolute crime. Thereby, I'm only allowed by the law of The U.S. of the world of the supreme consciousness of the universe, to only tell you of my opinion.

(I apologize if any of the following doesn't seem to make sense to you for whatever reason, because right now I'm so blown away, it's hard to maintain control.)

I'm humored, I'm surprised, I'm stunned, I'm speechless, I'm amazed, I've just watched an (here comes a word you'll see me use very few times if any) EXTREMELY good anime movie. Not only did it score high personally, but it's on auto recommend for me now. This is what watching all those crappy movies, mundane movies and pretty darn good movies pays off for; you REALLY appreciate the beauty of the amazing ones. And there are very, very, VERY, few movies that I consider amazing. I'm serious people, I'm not a generous critique, this movie has earned more than I can offer. This is a true, work of art.

The Movie

If you EVER feel like you need to watch something truly deserving the title for original, funny, touching and/or amazing, you always have the option of watching...
